China Glaze Visit Me In Prism

I know I've already posted this before, but that was bad quality photos. I love holos and I don't know if it's just me, but they seem to accentuate my nails (not because they draw attention) and make them look so nice. I only have two holos. I need more holos in my life. Like now. I just wanna dive into that rainbow soup. Oh where was I? This is three coats without top coat.

Holy schnapps, f-ed up nail!

It's weird how my nails look so long in pictures. They don't look so long to me in real life.

Sparklez...

Which do you like best, the OMG or Kaleidoscope holos?

China Glaze Dripping Wet

Sorry for my absence, if any of you noticed. :p Umm, let's just avoid the elephant in the room, okay? Though I'd love to talk about it and maybe offend a few people.

I got this from Mary of Body and Soul. She has a little shop, which I linked to, where she sells mainly Massini to people like me who don't live in the Midwest. So if you've lusted after this polish like me, or Slamming Red or Purple Medallion, you can get it there.

It's black label China Glaze, so it's not B3F. It's a HTF too, I believe. This was 4 effortless coats, definitely worth it for the color to me. Glossy and  perfect, though you need to be careful with bald spots. My SO described this as, "Either evil or some really dark grapes." Can't beat those color description skillz can ya?

Kinda ugly full on sun. The jelliness and cuticle balding is really obvious in th sun.

I'm sad. My thumb nail had a tear and I slammed it into the door when my legs were being attacked by a running cat. It snapped right off and now my thumb looks all stubby and ugly. =(

China Glaze Grape Pop + Nfu Oh 51

I got bored of Grape Pop so I put 51 over it. Behold!

Sorry they're kinda shitty, there was no sun when I was able to swatch these so this is by my window.

China Glaze Grape Pop

I feel like I'm not posting enough and like I let my few followers down. You probably just skip over my new posts in your blogger anyway though. =P

This is Grape Pop for Up & Away collection. For some reason this reminds me of the grape flavor of the gum that came in a roll that was supposed to be like tape. Bubble Tape or something like that. This shows up waaay blue in the photos I snapped of it. I tried to get this to show up the real color, but I could not get it to. It doesn't help that there was hardly any sun today.

That's a cat related injury on my cuticle, not a disgusting, huge dry spot.

Imagine this lighter and that's the color. A lot like RBL Mismas, I think they're even dupes. It's not like you haven't seen this one before either.

China Glaze High Hopes

Here's to trying to make myself feel better! This is a nice happy color, right? It tells me I should have high hopes about life. It's bright and pretty. Wait, why isn't it working?! =) Just kidding.

This is a really bright color. I didn't expect it to be that bright in real life, even though I've seen it that way in photos. The application sucks like a lot of the Up & Away polishes. Three annoying stringy but thick coats. Some bald spots are left after two so I think it really needs three. I should've thinned it before instead of after. 5 drops of Seche Restore did the trick.

Also, I've seen Zoya say their polishes are B3F and also camphor free. I never knew camphor was in polish because I never smelled it in there, but this baby smelled like Campho-Phenique so strongly. You know, the stuff used to numb cold sores and canker sores. I think Carmex has it in it too, which doesn't make sense if it's supposed to moisturize your lips. Camphor dries things out. That must be a way for them to keep your lips chapped so you keep buying it. But I digress.

China Glaze Rainbow of Hope

I haven't heard of this collection from anyone else, so although there are no new colors, I thought I'd post it for what it's for. Here's what they say about it.

Rainbow of Hope Collection extends the uplifting power of color to those impacted by a cancer diagnosis, including their families, friends, and co-workers.
China Glaze commits 18% of Rainbow of Hope display sales to cancer research organizations hand picked by members of the China Glaze brand family.

I love that this is for cancer, because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and died in 2008. She was the most precious thing in life to me. Enough blabbing about me, here's the colors.

PINK - Sexy Lady
BLACK - Liquid Leather
GRAY - Recycle
WHITE - White on White
EMERALD - Outtabounds
KELLY GREEN - 4 Leaf Clover
TEAL - Custom Kicks
PEARL - Platinum Pearl
BROWN - Unplugged
BURGUNDY - Long Kiss
PURPLE - Coconut Kiss
ORCHID / VIOLET - Spontaneous
LIGHT BLUE - Bahamian Escape
PERIWINKLE BLUE - Secret Peri-wink-le
BLUE - Rainstorm
ROYAL BLUE - Frostbite
YELLOW - Happy go Lucky
PEACH - Peachy Keen
ORANGE - Breakin’
RED - Paint the Town Red

At least Rain Storm will get more attention. I still wonder when Vintage Vixen is coming out. Fall I'm assuming. I can't wait! Oh, and these are coming out sometime in May.

Color Club Vintage Couture

I'm waiting on my stupid camera...so another crappy photo.

This is such a pretty stark pink pastel, but I was cringing while applying this. I did 3 coats on my left and 4 on my right. It just wasn't evening out and I still had bald spots. I recommend starting with a thin coat, then doing thick coats after that. Maybe the reason it was so thick and annoying was because it's been sitting with it's neglected, unused siblings for 6 months.

I was gonna do a comparison with Something Sweet, but they kept showing up white on my camera. So...I failed again?

China Glaze Wagon Trail

I can't believe I used to despise this color, and now I have it. It's dirty and awesome.

There was hardly any sun, I had to play tag with it again. It was hard for me to get the shimmer to show up. I tried.

On an unrelated note, I was browsing on ebay and decided to see how much Clarins 230 was running for. $81!! The bids keep rising and rising. I can't believe that, it's the highest price I've seen for a discontinued polish. I though Rainforest and Creme de Menthe were high, damn!

China Glaze Ruby Pumps

Good lord, why did I wait so long to get this beauty. Red's my favorite color and it's one of my favorite polish colors. I'm also a glitter ho, so this is perfection in a bottle. Holy hell is this ever perfection. I only used two coats and I see some bald spots, so definitely should've done three. This is absolutely GORGEOUS. Backup worthy, just like it's sister Emerald Sparkle. I know you've seen this 16 million times, but this is my take on it. Oh, and don't worry I'm not a zombie, these types of reds always make me look as white as a corpse on camera.

I failed to take a color accurate picture. There was no sun out so it's much more red than this. It was a funny sight, I was running around chasing the little patches of sun that would show up for 2 seconds, holding my hand with the bottle in it up to the sky. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm even more deranged now.

Easter Marble Mani

I did this over my previous mani Shausha. Sometimes when I'm about to take my polish off, I play around with some nail art that way if I f*** it up, it's okay cause it's coming off anyway. So I decided to be all cliché and make a marble mani with pastels from the Up & Away collection.  Excuse the lack of clean up and orange skin. These were taken indoors in my bedroom and utility room lighting, which tends to do that to my skin.

Of course millions of photos, cause you know, that's what I do.

I like how they came out. I did different colors on each, because like I said, I was just playing around with some marbling. I really like the way my pointer, middle and ring finger turned out.

Anyway, this was my half-assed Easter mani. Enjoy!

*Note to self: Stop cussing so much, you're probably offending all the good wholesome people that read this.

Victoria's Nail Supply Haul

First haul from Victoria's Nail Supply. I must be stopped. I have to stop hauling!

I wanted to show this photo of Jackie Oh! and Wham! Pow! by Color Club. This has to be the most neon photo I've seen of them. LOVE! Wham! Pow! is like a radioactive traffic cone orange.

Now, onto the haulage.

High Hopes, Ruby Pumps

China Glaze Cowgirl Up

Purples are notoriously hard to capture on camera, so it was a bitch for me to get this to show up color correct on camera, but I think I got it pretty good on one of them. Just imagine it a lot more pink purple (red?) than blue purple. Warm purple, not a cool purple. Magenta. It's not like you haven't seen this one before anyway.

Although I can't say the application was the best. Not due to the polish, but due to the fact that a May Fly kept assaulting my face while I was applying it.

This next one is the most color accurate, I think. The others are real close though.

Sinful Colors Green Ocean over Liquid Leather Matte

My latest mani mattiefied. It's weird how blue the flakies and glitter in Green Ocean turn when you put it over black. I'm sure they turn blue with Green Ocean by itself too. Pretty nice wear outta this for almost the third day. I usually have some major chips by then.
